Sunday
October 21 at 6:00 p.m.
Mick
Fowler has been climbing for 30 years and has climbed chalk cliffs,
frozen drainpipes, driven to Scotland an awful lot in winter and
spent a lot of time hanging uncomfortably in the big mountains. In
so doing he has achieved numerous first ascents in Britain and major
mountaineering first ascents in countries such as Peru, Russia,
Pakistan, India, Nepal and China. He was voted the Mountaineer's
Mountaineer' in 1989 and won the Piolet D'Or award for the 'best
mountaineering achievement of the year' in 2003 for his first ascent
of the North Face of Siguniang in China with Paul Ramsden.
